The Jack E. Gindi Oraita Program targets youth who are exposed to street culture. It provides them with a safe place and a stepping stone towards independent living. Oraita clubs are run by counselors who are mentors and role models. They help youth construct a positive self-identity, create and improve various life-skills.
The Oraita Program offers a balance of fun and values, games and growth. Whether in a discussion group or around the pool table, teens form close relationships with counselors who are mentors and role models, and friendships that last a lifetime. Oraita works hand in hand with schools to provide around-the-clock coverage with club and school staff present in youths’ schools during the day and at the Oraita club in the evening.
